Daytona was a big week rounding out a full month of speed from the ROLEX 24 to the ‘500. Now it is on with the season and the week in – week out of racing.

If you think about it that way as a comparison to “work” as most of us know it, do race drivers ever get up and just not feel like going in? Who hasn’t called in “sick” just because you would rather just chill with jammies on all day…?

However, if you have ever had the chance to go fast… No matter where or in what… You could grasp how drivers would just about have to be an inch from six feet under to not show up for their job…

So into the seasons we go. NASCAR is at Phoenix. The big drama coming in surrounds the actions of the last visit back in November. Jeff Gordon had enough and slammed Clint Bowyer into the wall, taking Joey Logano in for the ride. Fight! Fight! Run, Clint, Run! Where’s Gordon? Harvick wins.

There is also the added attention as Danica Patrick comes in fresh off the Daytona pole and a top ten finish. Throw Jimmie Johnson in the mix as winning the Daytona 500 in the new Gen-6 car and his string of championships following his last ‘500 win. There are early season spider webs of lines to follow and fans are jumping at the possibilities.

Not only is NASCAR under way as points race #2 rolls at Phoenix but Grand-Am is on with their first race since the ROLEX 24. It is also a big jump for the sports car folks as they run on the Circuit Of The Americas which brought Formula 1 back to the States. The Daytona Prototypes, GT and ST series are going to turn some twisted speed on this new course.

Sports cars in Texas, NASCAR at Phoenix, American Le Mans gets rolling this month, NHRA is running… The race is on for every fan of every discipline. The only catch is your BBQ schedule and your DVR capacity so you don’t miss a single pass, crash or blown engine.

March Madness…? Forget the hoops and go racing!
