2010 – The Race is On – But Who’s Driving?
Speed week is well under way. The ROLEX 24 ran a couple of weeks ago. The Gatorade Duel is run and done and the field is set for the upcoming Daytona 500. It’s a new season and again it is time to go through your NASCAR fan gear and see what needs to go out [...]
Where are the fans?
Sitting and watching the ROLEX 24 on SPEED I have to wonder….  Where are the racing fans? I have to watch on TV as I’m several states away with a driveway full of snow but what of racing fans in Florida, South Carolina, Georgia….? Looking at the stands at Daytona during the ROLEX 24 it [...]
Racing On Track for 2010 – ROLEX 24
We sit upon the weekend to start the racing reason in a spectacular fashion. For the visiting series drivers this is a fun step away from their regular [...]

We've all got cars

Missed Gear is here for the people who love cars. There is so much more than simple economy and "environmental impact". You can have performance and economy. You can have style and beauty without feeling guilty about taking some enjoyment from being behind the wheel. You don't have to fall lockstep behind all the lemmings on the green bandwagon. Drive. Feel the road. Feel the gravity of acceleration. Feel the road and feel the fun that can make you, on occasion, miss a gear.

about - in brief

Missed Gear is a place to compile automotive news and commentary. From the wide spectrum of racing to the familiar streets of your town, Missed Gear is here to put it all into perspective in a simple format for information and entertainment.

Call it a tribute, if you wish, to the brilliant BBC series “TOP GEAR”. A tribute in the sense of having some fun with our automobiles….  A tribute in the sense of distributing automotive news and information with a little fun and opinion….  A tribute in the sense of possibly not knowing when to shut up….

That being said, we’ll leave most of the Super Car driving to them while we look a little closer at the “every car” that those of us with normal paychecks and mortgages drive. Who says you need 400+ horsepower and 0 to 60 in less than 4 seconds to have some fun?  Do they….?  Really…? Well - We’ll show them, won’t we?
